Oklahoma City Marathon Run is to pay tribute of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building bombing. The city remembers the lives lost on April 9th, 1995.
Tradition is that they pause for 168 seconds of silence at the start line. Banners of the 168 people who passed on that tragic day are along every mile to give the runners inspiration.
Volunteers, participates and spectators from all over attend this event, you wont want to miss out.
Runners are from all over the world, 46 states, the District of Columbia & 7 countries including Japan, Germany, Uk & China.
