Fall Events in Oklahoma

Life is starting to turn back to normal in Oklahoma with restrictions being completely lifted now. Hopefully this delta strain will not ruin all the fun in the upcoming months.

College Football
There is nothing bigger in Oklahoma that Sooners and Cowboy football games. Majestic stadiums and football teams with legitimate title aspirations make home games the big ticket in the fall.

rolled back in the Sooner state, events and tourist attractions are also starting to open up for the locals and tourists alike. Most traditional events should be on the schedule for fall, and some events such as the Redbud Classic have been moved to the fall for 2021.

There has been a seismic shift in College football since the Sooners and Longhorns announced their departure from the Big XII for the SEC. Hopeful bedlam will be kept in tack. The Sooners look loaded for the 2021 season and are ranked as high as #2. The Cowboys have not cracked most preseason top 25 polls after a fast start and slow finish to the 2020 season, but they have enough talent and a returning QB to maybe have a decent season. The Sooners have a fun opening road game in New Orleans, and the Nebraska Cornhuskers come to Norman for the first time in many years. The Cowboys host bedlam and make a trip to Austin

Paseo Arts District – First Friday
The historic Paseo Arts District is Oklahoma City’s art community stays open late the first Friday of every month showcasing the new work of the gallery/studio owners or the work of guest artists.

If you’re looking for something educational and family friendly, check out the Oklahoma Historical Society’s Calendar. They sponsor numerous quality events in the fall.

They are back up and running from Covid, and have a full slate of Halloween activities. Scary Tales at the Overholser Mansion are the feature attraction.

Mesta Fest
A free festival with beer and wine vendors, live music, local artists, and all the other fun stuff one expects from a festival. This OKC fest is sponsored by the Mesta Park Mesta Park Neighborhood Association.
